Rebekah Carter
About me
Education: Bachelor of Arts in English Language & Literature
Job: Writer, researcher, journalist and editor
Hey, I’m Rebekah Carter. I write, research and edit (a lot), and I’ve been working for over 15 years in digital marketing, journalism and content creation. I studied English Language and Literature at university, mostly because I loved writing, asking questions, and trying to understand why things are the way they are, which turns out, are all useful skills when you’re researching and reviewing iGaming platforms.
Over the last few years, I’ve spent more time than I ever expected in the online casino space, testing platforms, digging through small print, and even exploring emerging game tech. Basically, I like to think I do the work most gaming fans don’t have the time (or patience) for.
Overall, my goal is just to help people find the sites and experiences that are actually worth their time.
Why iGaming?
Honestly? Because it makes sense for the way my brain works.
I’m a tech lover and a gaming fan, so falling into iGaming felt natural. Once I started paying attention to how online casinos really operate: the payment systems, security, fairness, design, licensing, game providers, my passion grew. There’s always something new launching, changing, or improving, and it keeps me curious.
What really got me invested though was realising how confusing (and sometimes misleading) this industry can be for regular players. Someone has to translate the jargon, question the claims, and explain what’s actually going on. I thought it might as well be me.
Experience and Expertise
I consider myself an eternal student, always learning new things about the industries I work in, and looking for ways to actually help others. I’ve spent years:
- Reviewing casinos, payment options and platforms hands-on
- Pulling apart bonus terms to see what they really mean
- Keeping up with regulation shifts, tech updates, and new tools
- Writing for players who want clarity, not outlandish claims
What Readers Can Find in My Articles
Years as a writer has taught me that there’s a lot of content on the web about almost every topic imaginable. The problem is, when it comes to iGaming, most reviews are just rehashed versions of other people’s opinions. They’re not based on genuine experience. I give my readers something different:
- Straight talk, zero sugar-coating
- Proper research, not copy-paste opinions
- Clear explanations in normal person language
- A healthy dose of scepticism where it’s needed
- Useful info you can actually do something with
I write the same way I’d explain something to a friend, and I always put the truth first.
FAQs
How did you end up writing about iGaming?
A blend of curiosity and career overlap. I like tech, I like gaming, I like figuring out how things work, and apparently I really like reading terms and conditions too. It snowballed from there.
How do you pick what to write about?
If it’s interesting, relevant, licensed properly, and actually useful to players, I’ll dig into it. If it looks shady, empty, or copy-paste, I won’t bother.
How do you approach reviews?
By poking at everything. I look at usability, games, payment speeds, restrictions, terms, support quality, basically all the things that matter to real players.
Why should readers trust you?
Because I’m not here to hype anything up. If it’s good, I’ll say so. If it’s not, I’ll definitely say so. My loyalty is to the reader, not a specific platform.
